British Council meeting in Belfast

On Friday 17 June 2005 and Saturday 18 June 2005 the British Council organised in cooperation with Foras na Gaeilgea meeting in Belfast for the establishment of a network for those engaged in teaching of (and teaching through the medium of) lesser used languages. Cor van der Meer of Mercator – Education participated in this meeting. Main agenda items were:

  • Design of the website
  • Structure and operation of network
  • Funding;European Commission and or regional governments
A steering committe with members from all over Europe has been formed to work on the website and funding of the project.
